Sometimes it is good to spend time away from home – to have a break from always being in the same place with the same people. There are 2 Short Break services in Bromley – one at 118 Widmore Road and one that is organised by the Shared Lives team.

Shared Lives

Shared Lives is a scheme where you go and live with a family in their home and become a part of their family.

There are different types of Shared Lives placements:

  • Short Breaks (used to be called respite)
  • Long term placements (which means that you will be living with the family for a long time)
  • Short term placements (which means that you may only be staying for a few weeks)

Treetops (PWH School)

Tree Tops offers short breaks and activities to Parkwood Hall students based in our extensive grounds and through local trips and outings.  Experienced, caring staff encourage the development of life skills indoors and out in the wider community.
