The Future of Education Services
Recent agendas and papers for the Education Policy & Development Scrutiny Committee have included an item on the proposed market testing of Education Services including the Inclusion Support Service, Sensory Support based at the Griffins Centre and the Education Psychology team.
BPV are very concerned about these proposals as many children, young people and families deeply rely of the excellent support that these teams offer. The SEND reforms set out in the Children & Families Bill which is expected to become law from September 2014 and the draft SEN Code of Practice set out how better outcomes will be met for all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. BPV has raised our concerns through the Pathfinder Project Board regarding the risks to our families if the Local Authority proceed.
BPV would like to hear your views. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that BPV can submit a written response on your behalf to the Education PDS Committee.
