School Exclusion Survey

Bromley Council is carrying out a review of its provision for children at risk of exclusion and/or who require Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) support.

It will look at the educational provision that is currently available in Bromley and the experiences of the children and young people who use them. It will also compare the cost, quality and use of these services against other local authorities and national policies.

The review will lead to recommendations for improving the provision commissioned to create better outcomes for children and young people. This will include recommendations of how Bromley Council can better work in partnership with local mainstream schools to make sure that inclusion and early intervention is core to the support offered by schools.

As part of this review, Bromley Council wants to hear from parents whose children have been excluded from a mainstream school in Bromley about their experiences and to hear their views on how things could have been done better.

There are a number of ways you can take part:

  • We will be holding a focus group for parents who have had a child excluded from a mainstream school on 7th October at 1.30pm at Bromley Baptist Church, opposite Buddha Kitchen, Park Rd, Bromley, BR1 3HJ.
  • Complete this survey about your experiences and tell us how things could be done better
