Foreword by Ade Adetosoye OBE
Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of Education, Care and Health, LB Bromley

I am delighted to have been asked to introduce the Bromley Parent Voice website, which details the much valued work that the forum does to support the engagement of parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or disabilities in Bromley.

‘Parent Carer Forums are representative local groups of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities who work alongside local authorities, education, health and other service providers to ensure the services they plan, commission, deliver and monitor meet the needs of children and families.’ (1.13 Code of Practice for the Children & Families Act 2014)

LB Bromley is committed to ensuring that children and young people and families are listened to and are involved in the decisions which affect their lives and to working in co-production with parent carers, children and young people (birth-25 years) with additional needs or disabilities to ensure the Local Offer is shaped by our families.

Bromley SEND Local Offer Website

LB Bromley values the commitment of the forum members who work hard to ensure the views, wishes and feelings of parent carers across our borough are fed into both the commissioning and delivery of services.  Working in partnership with Bromley Parent Voice enables all partners to develop a better shared understanding of how to secure the best possible outcomes for all children and young people within the resources available.

Our vision for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities living in the London Borough of Bromley is shared – that they achieve well in their early years, at school and in college, and lead happy and fulfilled lives. We have a shared and collective responsibility and will work together and challenge each other to allow us to meet our moral and legal obligations.

I do hope that you will find this website to be a valuable source of information for you.  If you require further information regarding engagement opportunities in Bromley please contact:
