There is a parliamentary inquiry into childcare for disabled children – supported by ‘Every Disabled Child Matters‘ (EDCM) together with Contact A Family, the Family and Childcare Trust, and Working Families.

Here is a link to the EDCM website with details:

The inquiry aims to look at:

  • The extent to which disabled children and their families face affordability, quality and access barriers to childcare.
  • Identifying good practice and examples of quality childcare provision that promotes the inclusion of disabled children and young people.
  • Examining potential policy measures to address these barriers.
  • Make recommendations as appropriate.

The inquiry is eager to hear from parents of disabled children of all ages & is encouraging families to complete an online survey by Monday 9th June.
